CASE STUDY & SUCCESS STORIES

Name: Ravi Agarwal

Age: 47

Sex: Male

BMI: 29

Diagnosis: Past history, blood reports, dietary recall, and lifestyle choices.

Issue/Symptoms: Ravi was suffering from chronic body pains for almost 20 years, and he could neither move nor sleep without taking pain killers and sleep medications on a daily basis. His suffering was truly painful to watch, and we wondered how he could have managed such an extensive period of pain. He joined our program with issues like chronic inflammation and weight gain due to restricted physical movement. When we diagnosed his blood reports and eating habits, we found out that the reason for inflammation was that he unintentionally consumed foods which actually aggravated his condition.

Treatment: We provided Ravi an anti-inflammatory diet that included more of fruits and vegetables, foods containing omega-3 fatty acids, whole grains, lean protein, and healthful fats, and herbs. The meal plan involved only simple home-made foods. We reduced his intake of foods high in sodium as they could be another factor for chronic pains. We eliminated foods such as quick digesting refined carbs such as breads, rotis, and empty caloried foods such as khakras, biscuits etc., from his diet, as they can exacerbate inflammation.

Results: Initially he struggled with cold, cough and fever because that’s how the body releases toxins for the medications he was taking for so many years. We had to motivate him hard and explain to him the science behind it during the initial phase of the program.

Just within one week, his pain started to slowly go down. And soon his condition got better. He started to lose weight and his sleep cycle improved. He lost 15kgs in 6 months and has sustained it for the last 5 years. Also, in last the 5 years, he didn’t need to take any pain killers or medications for sleep.
