Approach by the best weight loss nutritionist & Dietician, Telangana, India
His dietary recall showed he was on a 1000 calorie diet with 2 meal replacement shakes and 1 meal that was centered around carbs., therefore lacked whole foods. His daily diet had insufficient micronutrients and fiber intake. We first corrected his Vit D and B12 levels in the body through nutrition and supplementation as these deficiencies impact good digestive health and weight loss. As his body was used to consuming lower calories in a day, we designed a 1500kcal meal plan for him. We shifted him to adapting healthy eating practices. An insulin resistant diet was provided which helped manage his blood pressure levels. Potassium rich fruits and vegetables were suggested. Salads were incorporated to increase his fiber intake for better gut health. Macronutrient ratio of 41:20:39 was designed. To meet his protein needs, grass fed mutton, homemade paneer, eggs and tofu were incorporated as they are good quality efficient protein and would help manage his insulin levels and eliminate hunger pangs. In order to manage his cravings, fruits, healthy nachos from fit4life kitchen were suggested as they are nutrient dense and low calorie. One shake in a day was given as he was habituated to it and it would also aid in optimal caloric deficit. Minestrone soup with a lot of vegetables and green rotis which has 10 different unique greens from the fit4life kitchen were given for optimum satiety and micronutrient consumption. We recommended and altered his exercise regime to walking at least 45 mins every day to support his nutrition journey. Continuous monitoring and support was provided. We ensured that there was enough consumption of variety of vegetables and proteins in order to manage and decrease his blood pressure levels and weight.
